 Live Discussion: Participate!

Internet, bloggers and accurate news: Are we getting the right kind of information?

In countries with heavy press censorship, blogs and websites have become the preferred means for people to consume and distribute the news. Bloggers were initially succeeding in subverting government censorship, but now some governments have caught up with them and have actually been trying to launch blogs of their own. When it comes to blogs, how do we determine what is true and what is not true? How do we know a blog is a government blog or a legitimate blog?

IJNet would like to hear your opinion. Join the discussion by clicking on "Add a Comment". Please identify your country if possible. Thanks for your participation!

Points to Ponder

Tochukwu Darlington, Nigeria
