Grants available for persecuted writers
Posted on: 23/10/2009 Human Rights Deadline: 17/12/2009 Region: WorldwidePolitically persecuted writers are eligible for grants ranging from US$500 to US$10,000, to be awarded by Human Rights Watch. The Deadline for consideration for the Hellman/Hammett grant program is December 17.
Writers from all regions of the world are eligible for the grant. Self nominations are not accepted. Those who want to nominate an individual must submit background information and the details of persecution suffered by the writer via mail to Human Rights watch.
