Competition seeks short videos on defining democracy

Video producers around the world that are at least 18-years-old can submit a video that completes the phrase "Democracy is..." for the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., New York and Hollywood in the U.S. Deadline: January 31, 2010.

Videos must be in English or have English subtitles. They can be any style: fiction or documentary, animated or live action; and must be no longer than three minutes.

Seven winners - one each from the Western Hemisphere, Europe, Middle East/North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South & Central Asia, East Asia/Pacific and one anonymous winner - will be announced in June, 2010.
