Journalism fellowships to focus on science and religion
Posted on: 23/09/2009 Fellowships and Awards, Science Deadline: 15/12/2009 Region: WorldwideJournalists with an interest in the intersection of religion and science can apply for a two-month fellowship in 2010 during which participants will study independently at home, and at the University of Cambridge, in the UK. Deadline: December 15.
The Templeton-Cambridge Journalism Fellowships of Religion and Science will be awarded to ten print, broadcast and online journalists. Fellows will be paid a US$15,000 stipend in addition to a book allowance and travel expenses.
All journalists, including freelancers, with at least three years of professional experience, are encouraged to apply. Fluency in reading and writing English is required.
The fellowship, which will take place in June and July, 2010, will include a three-week intensive seminar at the University of Cambridge. Participants will hear from acclaimed scholars of scientific and religious study.
