The mission of the SLMMF is to bring together Muslims who are involved in the Print and Electronic Media and also those who are involved in the communication industry in educating, imparting knowledge and training of Media Personnel in the country.

Membership

Today the membership of the Forum stands at 540 with personnel representing all media institutions and freelance in Sri Lanka. This includes provincial correspondents too.

17 members for the Executive Committee are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
